Barney Arathoon - Writer, Producer, Director, Production Designer, Actor

Barney Arathoon finished his Film Studies & Creative Writing degree in 2015, leaving Portsmouth Uni with a first, the Creative Writing Student Award, and an itch to do some practical film work. From this itch arose The Faker. While primarily a writer, Barney thoroughly enjoyed his forays into producing, directing and acting for the film, and is now having trouble working out what he wants to do with his life. While Barney's hubris usually knows no bounds, he's ready to make an exception and grudgingly accept that he was working with the best possible cast and crew. And he thanks them thus.

In 2015 Nathan graduated from University of Portsmouth where he received the the Film Student Award for his work, and will be undertaking his Masters degree in Film and Television production at the end of 2016. During this past year he has worked on and produced a number of creative projects which will be released under the umbrella of his newly formed company Caribou Media, and is pleased to announce that The Faker will be the first to be released under the Caribou Media banner.

Joanna is a Film & Television student at the University of Portsmouth, and the founder of the independent SZY Productions Studio. While editing The Faker, her main desire was to make people feel the emotions behind the image and at the same time to tell the story of Tommy (Barney Arathoon). She is currently working on another short independent project, Somewhere Between the Liquid Fields .

Ally Deamer - Production Manager

Killer sandwich maker. Time-keeper in chief. Ally spent most of her many hours on set sighing loudly every time Nathan insisted on readjusting the lighting. She has recently qualified as a primary school teacher, and has discovered that making the film wasn't actually that different: reminding everyone to drink lots of water, providing plasters when people got hurt and generally herding the group of lost kittens that were the film crew. Plans for the future: investing in Aquariums On Screen.
